Almond-Raisin Butter
Ingredients
  • 1/2
    cup golden raisins
  • 1 1/2
    teaspoons finely shredded orange peel (set aside)
  • 2
    tablespoons orange juice
  • 2
    tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/2
    cup butter or margarine, softened
Directions

1. In a blender container or food processor bowl combine raisins and orange juice. Cover and blend or process with several on-off turns (do not grind). Add almonds; cover and blend or process with several on-off turns until chopped. Set aside.

2. In a medium mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add raisin mixture and orange peel; stir until combined. Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Serve at room temperature. Makes 1 cup.

  • Tip To Present This Gift... Wash and dry the bowl and lid. Avoid touching the areas to be painted. Use paints and a paintbrush to enhance the bowls established design. Use as many or as few colors as you desire. To make tiny dots, dip the handle end of a paintbrush into paints and dot onto the bowl. Let the paint dry. Bake the painted glassware in the oven if instructed by the paint manufacturer. Let cool.
  • Tip Also try this... To add a flower motif to a plain bowl, dip the handle end of a paintbrush in paint and dot onto the bowl in a tiny circle to make a flower shape.
