My Favorite Salad
Ingredients

cups finely shredded cabbage (12 ounces)

medium carrots, shredded (1 cup)

stalk celery, sliced (1/2 cup)

large apple, cored and chopped

ounces cheddar cheese, cubed (1 cup)

cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

tablespoon vinegar

teaspoon sugar

teaspoon salt

1/2
teaspoon pepper
Directions
In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, celery, apple, and cheddar cheese. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour mayonnaise mixture over the cabbage mixture; toss to combine. Serve immediately. (Or, cover and chill in refrigerator for up to 4 hours.) Makes 10 side-dish servings.
