Marinated Coleslaw
Ingredients

    cups packaged shredded cabbage with carrot
  • 1
    medium onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 1
    cup broken pecans, toasted
  • 1
    recipe Hot 'n' Spicy Lime Dressing (see recipe, below)
Directions

Combine cabbage mixture, onion, and pecans in very large salad bowl. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture; gently toss to coat. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours. Makes 8 servings.

Hot 'n' Spicy Lime Dressing
Ingredients
  • 1
    cup garlic-and-lime marinade
  • 1 - 2
    tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1
    jalapeno chile, seeded and sliced
  • 1
    teaspoon celery seed
Directions

Combine the marinade, spicy brown mustard, jalapeno chile, and celery seed in a small bowl using a wire whisk. Makes 1 cup.
