This recipe was too bland to be called a Jamaican Jerk. Even my 10 year old, who does not like anything spicy, said it was boring. Needs more zing, and definitely more heat.

To use: rub spice mix onto the meat of your choice, about 1 1/2 teaspoons per serving. For best results, marinate for at least an hour to allow the flavors of the rub to penetrate the meat. Enjoy!
12/19/2011 04:11:15 PM Report AbuseWhile that is true, rlhays1, those of who do know how to apply a rub (rub it on your meat and BBQ) love the variety of flavors in this jerk.
11/9/2011 02:04:31 PM Report AbuseI rate this a ZERO because BHG staff forgot to include any instructions for the use of the finished gift for the receiver of it to follow. Too many of their recipes are exactly like this -- NO USEFUL INSTRUCTIONS!
