Sonoma Harvest Salsa
Ingredients

Roma tomatoes, halved, seeded, and very coarsely chopped

small red onion, cut up

small cantaloupe, seeded, peeled, and cut up

Gravenstein or pink lady apple, cored and cut up

medium green sweet pepper, seeded and cut up

fresh jalapeno chile peppers, seeded and cut up*

tablespoon sugar

tablespoon lime juice

teaspoon salt

teaspoon ground cumin

Tortilla chips or orange or red sweet pepper wedges
Directions
In a food processor bowl combine tomatoes, onion, cantaloupe, apple, green sweet pepper, jalapeno pepper, sugar, lime juice, salt, and cumin. Cover and pulse with several off/on turns until chopped. (Or coarsely chop with a knife.) Cover and chill for 1 to 6 hours before serving. Stir well before serving. Serve with chips. Makes 3 cups salsa.

Since I live in Sonoma, I felt the need to make it real Sonoma. I added some chopped up red and green grapes, some fresh cilantro, and splashed it with some red wine. I omitted the suger..thats unecessary. Turned out really nice. Great for the dog park Yappy Hour! ( Both humans and dogs loved it)
