My family did NOT like this recipe. I thought it was just OK. Will not be making this one again.
1/23/2012 08:19:07 AM Report AbuseI've made this several times. My b/f and I both love it! I don't add any additional salt and if you feel it's too salty you can add a few more potatoes since they soak up the salt. It is good with smoked sausage as well as bratwurst. Very affordable as well. I've added carrots a couple times too. The nutritional info does list calories..I think it shows 315 per serving.
1/11/2012 11:28:54 AM Report AbuseMy husband loved it--I thought it was "ok." I made it as listed--way too salty. Next time I will use reduced sodium stock and not add any additional salt.
3/17/2010 02:42:35 PM Report AbuseWe loved this recipe, and will make again. Next time I will try adding some beer as liquid and adding carrots. I am looking forward to lots of leftovers, too.
2/16/2010 11:54:33 PM Report AbuseThis type of stew does not require additional salt. There is enough in the saugage. Salt should be "add your own"
