10 ounce package refrigerated pizza dough (for 1 crust)
ounces bulk Italian sausage
of a medium green sweet pepper, cut into thin strips
8 ounce can pizza sauce
4 ounce can (drained weight) sliced mushrooms, drained
8 ounce package shredded pizza cheese (2 cups)
- Preheat oven to 425 degree F. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan; press pizza dough into prepared pan, building up side. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a medium skillet cook sausage and sweet pepper until sausage is brown. Drain off fat. Stir in pizza sauce and mushrooms.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese on the crust. Spoon meat mixture over cheese. Top with remaining cheese. Bake in the 425 degree F oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.
