Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4  cups all-purpose flour
  • 3  tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2  cup butter
  • 2  eggs
  • 1/2  cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4  cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2  cup light-colored corn syrup
  • 2  tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Combine flour and the 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Cut in the 1/2 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Pat into an ungreased 11x7x1-1/2-inch baking pan. Bake in a 375 degrees F oven for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat eggs with fork. Stir in the 1/2 cup brown sugar, pecans, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla. Pour over baked crust, spreading evenly. Bake 20 to 25 minutes more or until set. Cool. Cut into bars. Chill to store. Makes 24.

Make-Ahead Tip:Transfer bars to an airtight container. Chill up to 3 days.
