It's Italian! Sausage Sandwich
Ingredients
  • 3/4
    pound bulk Italian sausage or ground beef
  • 1
    16 ounce jar spaghetti sauce (about 1-3/4 cups)
  • 1/2
    cup sliced pitted ripe olives
  • 4
    French-style rolls
  • 4
    slices Mozarella cheese (6 ounces)
Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degree F. In a skillet brown sausage. Drain off fat. Stir in sauce and olives. Heat through.

2. Split rolls lengthwise without cutting through opposite side. Hollow out buns slightly. Halve cheese slices lengthwise. Place a piece of cheese on bottom half of each roll. Divide meat mixture evenly among the 4 rolls. Place another cheese slice atop meat. Close rolls.

3. Wrap each sandwich in foil and seal. Place on a baking sheet. Bake wrapped sandwiches in the 375 degree F oven for 15 minutes. Unwrap and serve. Makes 4 servings.
