Hot Ham and Cheese Bites

Ingredients
6
frozen garlic-flavor Texas toast slices or frozen round waffles
3
slices American cheese (3 ounces)
4
ounces shaved deli hickory-smoked ham
3
tablespoons butter, softened (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Top three toast slices with cheese slices and ham. Cover with remaining toast slices to make three sandwiches. If desired, spread outsides of sandwiches with butter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Bake about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and sandwiches are lightly browned, turning once. Cut each sandwich into four strips; halve each strip crosswise. To serve, thread two pieces onto each of twelve 6-inch skewers. Serve warm.
