Herbed Goat Cheese Spread

Ingredients

ounces goat cheese (chevre)
3
tablespoons whipping cream
1/4
cup snipped fresh herbs* (oregano, thyme, rosemary, dillweed and/or tarragon)
1
small shallot, minced
1
clove garlic, minced
 
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper
 
Whipping cream (optional)
 
Toasted baguette slices

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl crumble goat cheese. Meanwhile in a small chilled bowl, whip cream until thickened; stir into goat cheese.
  2. Stir in herbs, shallot, lemon peel, and garlic. Season to taste with sea salt and pepper. Thin with additional cream, if desired. Serve on toasted baguette slices.
