1-inch piece fresh ginger or 3 inches stick cinnamon
6 ounce can frozen pineapple or orange juice concentrate
cup lime juice
cups carbonated water, chilled
lime slices, halved
- In a medium saucepan combine water, sugar, and ginger or cinnamon. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove and discard ginger or cinnamon stick.
- Stir in pineapple juice or orange juice concentrate and lime juice. Pour into a pitcher. Cover and chill 4 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
- Just before serving, stir in carbonated water. Serve over ice. Garnish with lime slices. Makes 8 (5-ounce) servings.
