Sparkling Fruit Sangria
Ingredients
- 4 cups dry or semi-dry white wine, such as vinho verde, Viogner, or Pinot Gris
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur, such as Triple Sec or Cointreau, or peach brandy
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons extra-fine granulated sugar
- 2 cups chilled sparkling water
- 1 1/2 - 2 cups sliced peaches, nectarines, oranges, lemons, plums, and/or sweet cherries with stems
- Ice cubes
Directions
1. In a large jar or pitcher stir together white wine, orange juice, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
2. Just before serving, add the chilled sparkling water and sliced fruits; stir gently. Pour sangria over ice cubes in tall glasses. Add some of the fruit to each serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
