Sazerac
Ingredients
- 2 ounces Sazerac Rye Whiskey (1/4 cup)
- 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup (1 tablespoon)
- 2 Peychaud's Bitters
- 2 Angustora Bitters
- Herbsaint (anise-flavored liquor)
- Lemon twist
Directions
1. In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine first four ingredients; stir to combine. Rinse a chilled rocks glass with Herbsaint. Pour shaker contents into glass, add ice (if desired), and garnish with a lemon twist.
Simple Syrup
Yield: about 1/3 cup
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Directions
1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring just to boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cool; cover and chill at least 1 hour before using.
