1. Place ice cream in an extra-large punch bowl. Add half the eggnog. Stir and mash mixture using a potato masher until ice cream is melted and mixture is well combined. Stir in remaining eggnog. Slowly pour in cream soda, stirring to combine. To each glass add a peppermint stick, cinnamon stick, or candy cane. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon (about 1/8 teaspoon per serving). Makes about 24 (6-ounce) servings.

We have served this punch several times since Christmas; it is absolutely the most delicious way to serve eggnog...made it with French Vanilla ice cream and a shot of rum added!! Forget the peppermint sticks. Yum, yum!!
1/3/2010 07:34:39 PM Report AbuseWe loved this punch. Served it on New Year's Eve. We made a 1/2 batch, since there were just a few of us. It was a delicious twist on eggnog- if you don't mind all the calories :)
1/1/2010 07:18:24 PM Report AbuseWe made this for our family's Christmas day drink, it was not only easy to put together, but a delicious drink to enjoy all evening long. We will definitely make this again! It wasn't too bad for those who want to "cheer" it up a bit with a shot of Southern Comfort either.
12/26/2009 12:25:54 PM Report AbuseI served this punch at a housewarming party and it was a big hit. Deffinately a Christmas favorite.
12/7/2009 08:53:22 PM Report AbuseAll I taste is the eggnog. Alot of effort and expense to add these extra ingredients and end up with the same taste and texture as a just opened gallon of Pet ready made eggnog. Nice concept - but pass this one by.
