Nutmeg Sauce
Ingredients
  • 1/4
    cup sugar
  • 1
    tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1
    cup apple juice
  • 2
    tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2
    teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8
    teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions

In a medium saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in apple juice. Add margarine. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and nutmeg. Serve warm. Makes about 1 cup.
