Molasses-Fig Baked Apples

cup mild-flavored molasses

cup snipped dried figs

cup packed brown sugar

cup chopped walnuts

tablespoon butter, melted

pounds cooking apples, peeled, if desired; cored, and cut into 8 wedges each
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degree F. In a large bowl stir together molasses, figs, brown sugar, walnuts, and butter. Add apple wedges; toss to coat. Spoon mixture into a 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until apples are tender, stirring once. Cool slightly before serving. Serve with a slotted spoon. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
