Super-Duper Chocolate Kisses
Ingredients
  • 1
16 1/2 ounce package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1/3
    cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2/3
    cup chocolate-flavor sprinkles
  • 2
    tablespoons milk
  • 40
    dark chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet; set aside. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine cookie dough and cocoa powder. Seal bag; knead with your hands until dough is well mixed. Remove dough from bag.

2. Place chocolate sprinkles in a shallow dish or small bowl. Place milk in another shallow dish or small bowl. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Dip balls in milk to moisten, then roll in chocolate sprinkles to coat. Place balls 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet.

3. Bake in the preheated oven about 8 minutes or until edges are firm. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. Transfer cookies to a wire rack; let cool. Makes about 40 cookies.

I love this recipe. It will become a standard for my for years to come - easy and delish! I also would skip the bag. It was a hassle trying to get it out of the bag. A mixer works just as well. I modified a second batch by adding 1/2 tsp. of peppermint extract, using Christmas multi-colored sprinkles and topping with Dove Peppermint Bark and they turned out very pretty and taste great too.

Fabulous recipe! So easy and very chocolatey! Wonderful to make with your kids too. My four year old loves to help make these. These are certainly on my list of must bake holiday cookies now!

Great recipe. And one more thing....if you don't like a certain pre-made product, why bore us with the negative statements.....just move on.

Very pretty, very chocolate-y cookies! I did a double batch and got 62 1-inch cookies which is quite less than what the recipe estimates, but still a good recipe. Skip squishing the dough in the bag as well; I used my stand mixer and slowly added the cocoa powder which no doubt made less work than digging warmed dough out of a bag.
