Stained-Glass Cookies

Divide refrigerated sugar-cookie dough into several portions. Place them into small bowls and tint them with different food colors. Pull off a small piece of dough, and press it onto a cookie sheet. Keep adding small pieces of colored dough to create a festive shape, such as a star, bell, tree, or round ornament. If you like, use a cookie cutter to help you define a shape. Bake the cookies as directed. When theyre cool, outline the pieces with decorator gel.
