Milk Chocolate and Caramel Clusters

vanilla caramels

cup milk chocolate pieces

cups honey graham cereal, slightly crushed (about 1-1/2 cups)

cup peanuts
Directions
1. In a heavy medium saucepan combine the caramels, milk chocolate pieces, and water. Sir over low heat until caramels are melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal and peanuts.
2. Working quickly, drop mixture from a teaspoon onto cookie sheets lined with waxed paper. Let stand until firm (about 30 minutes). Makes about 28 clusters.

- Tip To Present This Gift:Place a small amount of both paints on the plate. Do not mix. Paint the bottom of the box copper. While the paint is wet, use a fine paintbrush to paint in swirls and circles using dark brown. Let dry. Paint the lid dark brown. While the paint is wet, paint copper designs as done for the bottom of the box. Paint the edges of the lid copper. Let the paint dry. Line box and cover clusters with parchment paper or waxed paper to prevent food from coming into contact with painted surfaces.
