Directions

  1. In a 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker, combine chicken, sausage, pasta sauce, beans, the water, and oregano.
  2. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 5 to 7 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours.

Simple to make, yet very tasty and satisfying. Perfect for football weather and as an interesting alternative to chili.

4+. Rich, dark flavor, especially with as few ingredients as it calls for. It's not particularly complicated or nuanced--just a really nice combination of simple flavors. It could be tweaked and/or added to, but I think that would muddle what's already there. I will definitely put this into the regular rotation.

Made this last night, It is very good. I used Chicken Sausage and a Red Wine Marinara cooked for 6 hours on low it was yummy!
