  1. Toast buns from Grilled Hot Dogs. Spread each bun with about 2 tablespoons of the macaroni salad. Place grilled frankfurters in toasted buns. Spoon a generous 2 tablespoons of the warm chili over each frankfurter. Sprinkle with cheese, corn chips, onion, and cilantro. If desired, top with sour cream.

*Tip:

If using sour cream, place in a 1-quart heavy resealable plastic bag. Seal bag; snip a small hole in one corner of the bag. Squeeze to drizzle sour cream evenly onto hot dogs.

We suggest using hot and spicy chicken sausage with these toppings.

  1. For a charcoal or gas grill, place frankfurters on the rack of a covered grill directly over medium heat. Grill for 3 to 7 minutes or until heated through, turning occasionally. Remove from grill. If desired, place 8 frankfurter buns, cut sides down, on grill rack. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve frankfurters in buns as directed in individual recipes.
