Chicken with Creamy Chive Sauce
- Place chicken in a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker. In a medium saucepan melt the butter. Stir in the dry Italian salad dressing mix. Stir in mushroom soup, wine, and cream cheese until combined. Pour over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. Serve chicken with sauce. If desired, serve with hot cooked pasta and sprinkle with chives. Makes 6 servings.

I use a half block of cream cheese and chopped sauteed onion instead of the "spread." This is a great dish when company is scheduled to arrive when I have been working all day.

The only thing is that it did not take as long as the time that was stated. 3-4 hours. It may have been dependent on the thickness of my cutlets and that my crock pot runs hot. Also I have used plain cream of mushroom soup when I didn't have the golden and it was still delicious! I also added a little more wine, more like a cup of wine. A few times I added some vegetables to cook in the crock pot with the chicken. Really delicious and crowd pleaser.
