Saucy Sloppy Joes
Ingredients

small green sweet pepper, chopped (1/4 cup)

pounds cooked beef, chopped

cups barbecue sauce

tablespoon vinegar

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

teaspoon salt

teaspoon dry mustard

Directions
1. Cook onion, celery, green pepper, and garlic in butter or margarine in a large skillet until tender.
2. Stir in cooked beef, barbecue sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, dry mustard, and pepper; bring to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns. Makes 12 to 16 servings.

- Variation Note:To trim some of the fat, omit the butter or margarine and simmer all of the ingredients together for about 30 minutes.
