Mushroom and Onion Sauced Round Steak

Ingredients

  • 2  pounds boneless beef round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
  • 1  tablespoon cooking oil
  • 2  medium onions, sliced
  • 3  cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1  12-ounce jar beef gravy
  • 1  1.1-ounce package dry mushroom gravy mix
  •   Mashed potatoes (optional)
