Bistro Mushrooms
Ingredients

tablespoons olive oil, roasted garlic olive oil, or butter

cups sliced crimini, shiitake, and/or button mushrooms (8 ounces)

cup dry red wine, dry sherry, or beef broth

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce for chicken

teaspoons snipped fresh thyme

Salt

Black pepper
Directions
1. In a large skillet cook and stir mushrooms in hot oil or butter for 4 minutes. Stir in wine, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with poultry, beef, pork, or fish.
2. Makes 4 servings.
