Need an idea for recycling your leftover toilet paper cardboard rolls? They are great for organizing your spare electrical extension cords. After coiling up the cord, slip the cardboard roll over the cord to keep it together. Using a felt pen, you can mark/label the length of each cord on the outside of the cardboard roll. |

Oh, one more thing. Also I use the coiled cord from old phones to cut to length and wrap around unsightly cords to keep them under control. They work very well because you don't need a long piece to use and they keep their shape and don't wear out.
1/21/2010 12:14:12 PM Report AbuseThis is great, I have been doing this for many years. I also use the heavier duty rolls from tin foil, plastic wrap. They are smaller and hold the cords for electrical appliances really well because they are so short, and have the big plug end on them. Glad to know I'm not the only one doing this.
