Album: 269000006

We recently replaced our non-livable attic space (which was previously just a standard queen post truss system with blown-in insulation) to a third story retreat. Our objective was to create space for all the family to enjoy. With not much room to add either on the side or the rear of the house, the only option was to adjust the pitch of the roof and go up. So we tore off the old roof and replaced it with a new one. In the space there are two dormers facing forward (shown) and three facing out the back. The new space includes areas for kids play, a pool table, a card table for board games, a powder bath, a wet bar, a media room, and a playhouse. (*Note: Picture taken before painting.)
