Install a flurecent light box. Hang your 3 chair on the wall using sturdy hooks mounted to a stringer board anchored to the wall. repaint a lighter color and if you want light & privacy try applying the faux etched glass covering to the door and just all a valance.
 

As you can see it is also my laundry room. It also has a utility sink and a pantry. I need help!
