Yeah, it is what it is. You'd have to remove the wall paper, and tile, have a contractor install pre-cast shower walls, and a plumber install a shower apparatus. You can paint the closet door white. Figure about $2K-$3K for materials and labor, if you demo yourself. Get lots of bids; most are inflated.
