It is a good idea to start your perennial plants in the summer for the following spring. No problem with damping off. I start these in mini-greenhouses (use a plastic storage box for this in the shade) After they get 2 healthy leaves I remove the cover and set in trays where I keep water and a weak solution of miracle grow. This works well for rooting other things in the summer too. Boxwoods, crepe myrtles, roses etc. |
