I always loved brick walls. First thing you should do is purge what you don't want. You won't be able to do anything unless you get rid of the clutter first.
 

This is a room over our garage that we filled in with drywall after moving in 4 years ago. It was -and is-supposed to be my craft/sewing studio. However, I've had 2 babies in the past 4 years and we've never done this room. The only thing we did was move the washing machine and dryer upstairs. As the only female in our home, I would love for this room to be a retreat for me to escape to to do my favorite hobbies!
