My Mom & I decided that we needed a better cake batter for the Japanese Fruitcake Recipe that had been passed down through the family for several generations. This is the one we settled on. The notation on the right of the recipe says "Use in Japanese Fruitcake Recipe" so we would remember which one we had chosen. The quanities have been doubled on the left side, to help keep us on track, as we needed that amount to make the Japanese Fruitcake.
