Hyacinth Flowered Lilac (Syringa x hyacinthfolia)

Also called Pocahontas, this very hardy lilac hybrid features reddish-purple flower buds that open to reveal deep violet flowers. Pocahontas flowers in spring, about two weeks earlier than common lilacs. This version of the hyacinth will look beautiful in any yard.

Grape Hyacinth (Muscari armeniacum)
