Siberian iris bears a family resemblance to the larger bearded iris but the are more delicate-looking. They add color to flower beds in early summer, and vertical accents all summer long. Like most irises, these are moisture-loving plants but once established they will tolerate dry soil.

Tulip tree is a large, fast-growing tree, reaching 70 to 90 feet tall and 35 to 50 feet wide. The leaves, which are 3 to 8 inches long and wide, are distinctive because of their lobed sides and squarish top. In late spring, tulip tree bears greenish to yellow flowers shaped like tulips.
