Dutch Crocus (Crocus vernus)

Spring crocus is the largest and most widely grown of the crocuses. The cup-shaped flowers bloom in early spring in shades of white, yellow, pink, and purple;they are often striped with contrasting colors and are 3 to 4 inches tall.

Autumn Crocus (Colchicum autumnale)

Autumn crocus has a cup-shaped flower like the true spring crocus, but its pink, white, or light purple 4-inch flowers bloom in fall. The leaf clumps, which are not especially attractive, appear in spring but die back by bloom time.
