John and Sherry: The 48-Hour Challenge

Post 1: Meet the Newlyweds
Why, hello. We're John and Sherry, two twenty-something newlyweds from Richmond, Virginia and the bloggers behind This Young House.
We're first-time homeowners of a 50-year-old brick ranch that was certainly showing its age when we moved in three years ago. So we got right to work renovating and redecorating every square inch of it, and in 2007 we started the blog to share our adventures (and misadventures) in home improvement.
What began as a hobby (mainly for the benefit of our extremely enthusiastic parents) has blossomed into a bona fide full-time job, where we share our own cash-conscious home makeovers as well as other people's amazing renovations. Needless to say, our virtual door is always open and we'd love for you to stop in and stay a while!
