Post 1: Meet the Creative Mom

My name is Jen Kershner. I am a stay-at-home mom to two girls, Maddie and Emma, and wife to one very patient, encouraging, and supportive man, Jim. I love to spend my days being creative, and for me that can be playing in my art studio, gardening, decorating, or cooking. There are few projects I won't consider trying, and while they don't all turn out perfectly, the feeling of accomplishment when I succeed completely cancels out the failures.

I've been passionate about these pursuits in one way or another for as long as I can remember and feel like my life isn't complete unless I have at least two projects going at any given time. I'm very lucky to have a patient and supportive family that doesn't complain when they walk in the door and find that something in the house has changed.

I'm very excited to participate in the 48-Hour Challenge.

You can also find me at my blog, The Cottage Nest, where I love to chronicle my projects, inspirations, and my often-crazy life.
