About this Project

The biggest challenge you may face when replacing a ceiling tile is finding one that matches. If you're lucky, whoever installed the ceiling tile will have saved a few extra tiles for such an occasion.

The trick to replacing a tile is cutting off the top lip of the grooved edge of the new tile (see Step 2). Once you've trimmed off the top lip of the groove, you can place the tongue edge in the grooves of the adjacent tile and pivot the patch tile into place.
