How to Build a Bulletin Board

Create a place to hang important paperwork and bills in a few hours.

What You Need
  • Primed picture frame molding
  • Hand saw
  • Paintbrushes
  • Latex paint
  • Pencil
  • Yardstick
  • Level finishing nails
  • Hammer
  • Wood filler12-inch square corkboards

How to Make It
  1. Cut two molding rails of the desired width.
  2. Paint the molding and both sides of the corkboard with two or more coats of latex paint. Let dry.
  3. Using a pencil, yardstick, and level mark a line for the bottom rail. Choose a height you can reach comfortably without straining.
  4. Nail the bottom molding along this line with the routed edge facing up.
  5. Set the corkboard in the molding. (Double-face tape can hold cork in place while installing molding.)
  6. Nail the top molding with the routed edge facing down and snug against the cork.
  7. Fill in nail holes with wood filler and touch up with paint.
