Two Boys, One Closet
When kids share a room, it's important that they each have a place for their own stuff.
Two active boys, Reid and Hayden Sinnett, share a closet, but neither could find his own clothes -- or anything else for that matter. Toys, shoes, and other items were usually in a jumble at the bottom of the closet and cleaning up, according to their mother, Molly, "was an unbelievable chore."
Sharing a closet isn't easy!
Divide the space in half with hanging space and shelves on both sides. In the center, install a floor-to-ceiling unit of stackable shelves and drawers. Adjust the height of the bars at each side to suit the age of each boy, and fill in empty space below with shelves for shoes.
Kids can't find anything.
Half the problem is already solved by the two separate hanging spaces, which can be arranged by season -- short-sleeve shirts on one level, long-sleeves on the other. Use name tags to designate each child's storage space. Choose see-through containers to encourage kids to put things away.
Closet has no style.
