Live large and make the most of this small space. In this closet, a simple self-assembled shelving unit provides loads of adjustable space for folded T-shirts, jeans, and sweaters, while also accommodating boxes and baskets filled with camisoles and undergarments.

The smaller the closet, the more important to follow two basic rules, in sequence. The problem isn't the small closet. First, it's the amount of stuff in the closet. "Maximum overload" doesn't lend itself to good use of space, whether it's 1' or 100'. The driving factor is not how much stuff you have, but how much space you have to hold it. You don't have to pay a professional organizer to do it. Only then can you move on to the second part: maximizing the space with some of these nifty ideas.
1/21/2010 12:52:45 PM Report AbuseMy closet is very small alot you show is unrealistic. If you have a large walk in closet you can afford someone to come in and organize. I live in an older home so alot you show doesn't apply
