About this Project

A drum trap is a coffee-can-size reservoir that holds enough drain water from a fixture. Like other types of traps, a drum trap forms a barrier to prevent gasses from the drain system flowing back out the fixture's drain. Drum traps are found mostly in older homes. Current codes prohibit their use. They should be replaced with a P-trap.
