Easy Cabinet Updates: Photo Finish

Update your kitchen with this easy cabinet door makeover. All it takes is a few tools and an afternoon.

What You Need:

How to Make It:

  1. Nail a 1-inch molding around edge of the door to mimic the shape of the frame.
  2. Fill any nicks in the door with wood filler.
  3. Lightly sand each door to rough up the entire surface. For already-finished cabinetry, use a bonding primer to ensure new paint will stick.
  4. Paint the door.
  5. Remove all the hardware from the back of the frame and insert your photo.
  6. Using screws, affix the frame to the door from the back of the cabinet door panel.
  7. Attach desired handle.

Leave the top of the frame open so you can change pictures as desired for the seasons, holidays, or just to change the theme of the room.
