A few damaged or deteriorated bricks don't spell doom for a wall. They can be replaced with relative ease. Begin by examining your wall carefully. If the damaged bricks or concrete blocks are directly over or under a door or window, there is a chance the wall could sag if you remove several bricks or blocks at once. To avoid collapsing a section of wall, replace one brick at a time, rather than removing several at once. Call in a professional mason if you are not sure of yourself.
