Friendship Favor Boxes for Valentine's Day

To let guests take a bit of the party home, wrap up something sweet -- such as a truffle or a trinket -- inside pretty party favor boxes.

  1. Purchase small gift boxes; wrap boxes and tops separately in papers that match your party's theme.
  2. Add your sweet treat.
  3. Personalize filled boxes by using a computer to print names or phrases on computer-compatible sheets of vellum.
  4. Cut printed vellum into strips.
  5. Wrap boxes with ribbon that's narrower than your vellum strips, then wrap vellum strips over ribbon, securing with tape on the bottom.
  6. Attach charms to pieces of even narrower ribbon; tape ribbons to bottom of boxes, and bring charms over tops of boxes. Wrap with gauzy ribbon.
