Festive Harvest Display

Combine backyard finds with fruit and elegant roses to create a bountiful display that's perfect for the season -- and an economical alternative to an all-flower arrangement.

What You Need
  • Ceramic or resin waterproof basket
  • Floral foam for fresh arrangements
  • Roses
  • Seeded eucalyptus
  • Kumquats
  • Oranges
  • Wheat spikes
  • Whole cloves
  • Floral wire
  • Pinecones in assorted sizes from 2 to 6 inches
  • Floral picks

How to Make It
  1. Cut the foam to size for your container.
  2. Soak the foam in water according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Press the foam into the container.
  4. Wire 4 to 6 spikes of wheat together with floral wire.
  5. Press cloves into the oranges.
  6. Insert floral picks into the oranges and kumquats.
  7. Wire the picks to the pinecones.
  8. Insert pinecones into the container to establish the overall shape of your arrangement.
  9. Add the wheat bundles, roses, oranges, and kumquats.
  10. Tuck in small pieces of seeded eucalyptus to finish.
