What You Need:

Tie in the color scheme of your
ornaments with the colorful
ribbons you select.

  • Ribbon: 10 feet each of purple, pink, and yellow in varying widths of 1/4 inch to 1-1/2 inches (or other colors as desired)
  • Corrugated paper: yellow and white (or other colors as desired)
  • Scissors
  • Yardstick or measuring tape

Instructions:

1. Bring the three ribbon ends together and tie a knot.

2. Draw stars (of desired size) on corrugated paper. Cut out stars, and cut a 1/4-inch hole in the center of each star.

3. Slip the ribbons through the hole in one star. Pull the star along the length of the ribbons until it reaches the knotted end. With star firmly against the knot, tie a knot on the other side of the star to hold it in place.

4. Repeat with remaining stars (leaving 20 inches or desired amount of space between stars), alternating star colors, until you reach the end of the ribbon. Knot ribbon at the end.
