Use a letter template and die-cuts
for the watermelon motifs on this

Some folks like to eat watermelon in bite-size pieces, others in wedges. The rest just want to dig in! Enhance the fruit wedges and letters with a red marker and affixed teardrop seeds; matte each slice, wedge, and word in green paper rinds.

What You Need:

  • Watermelon-eating photos
  • 12-inch square sheet of acid-free blue card stock
  • 8-1/2 x 11-inch sheets of acid-free papers in watermelon, green, and white
  • Accu-Cut watermelon die-cuts W1060S
  • McGill teardrop punch (for watermelon seeds)
  • DJ Inkers Dot lettering template
  • EK Success red ZIG Writer
  • Craf-T green decorating chalk
  • Green Tinkertoy computer font (found on the Internet)
  • Acid-free glue


1. Use blue card stock as your beginning canvas. Mount photos of child eating watermelon on watermelon, white, and green paper.

2. Buy watermelon die-cuts and use a teardrop punch to make watermelon seeds. Finish off watermelons with green decorating chalk for a more realistic look.

3. Use Green Tinkertoy computer font to create fun sayings.
