Salad mold trims
Vintage or new, small salad molds decorated as trims make wonderful last-minute gifts.
- Drill and large bit
- Small salad molds
- Newspapers
- Spray pain in desired colors
- Glitter in color similar to spray paint
- Jewelry embellishments or ornate buttons
- Strong adhesive, such as E6000
- Scissors
- Ribbon
1. Drill a hole at the top of each mold and place the salad mold on newspapers in a well-ventilated work area.
2. Spray the top side of mold with spray paint and while the paint is wet, sprinkle with glitter. Let dry.
3. Turn over the mold and spray again. Let dry.
4. Glue jewelry piece or button in the center of the rounded portion of the mold. Let dry.
5. Thread a ribbon through the hole for hanging and knot the ribbon ends. Trim the ribbon ends if needed.
